The moniker of “The Impossible Engine” was coined internally at Rotax during the development of this top of the range Rotax offering.
Here’s why that moniker is appropriate:

- 2000hr TBO an increase of 67% over the 915iS
- 20 horsepower increase from the 915iS

Rotax revised and strengthened numerous components from their previous top dog, the 915iS to achieve such astonishing improvements.

TECHNOLOGICALLY ADVANCED avionics

From the flight deck of the most advanced factory produced gyroplane, the Cavalon, Calidus is now optionally equipped with the latest Garmin G3X 10.6” Touch Screen flight deck. While the G3X has an incredible history of uptime, the Garmin G5 remains the choice of AHRS backup with its internal battery to feed you the vital instrumentation regardless.

These new flight deck options offer a level of situational awareness previously reserved for multi-million-dollar aircraft. Integrated radios, transponders, and charting software keep the cockpit clean and efficient. Alerts to oncoming airspace, terrain, and other air traffic help you stay safe and legal.
